Everyone wants to be healthier, live longer, feel better.

I have a simple plan to help you get there.

All you need to do is make a conscious effort to take in more of the following two basic elements: clean air and clean water.

That’s it.

We all know that you need these things to survive, but most of us only take in the minimum amount.  I recommend you kick it up a notch.

To injest more clean air:

  • At least once a day, do meditative breathing.  Stop what you are doing, focus on your breath and inhale deeply to the count of three.  Exhale slowly to the count of four.  Do this for a few minutes or if possible, 10-15 minutes.  Let your diaphragm expand as you inhale, filling your whole lungs with fresh air.  Ahhhhhhhh.
  • Stop smoking.  You are not breathing in clean air, you are breathing in ashes.  It’s time to quit.
  • Spend more time outdoors, preferably near trees and other greenery.  If you happen to be exercising outside, you will be taking clean air into your lungs and more oxygen into your blood.  Bonus points for that.

To injest more clean water:

  • Drink more water.  Duh.
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables that have a high water content: watermelon, citrus fruits, cucumber, celery, tomatoes, etc.

Do you know how cheap and easy it is to drink water with meals instead of juice, coffee, wine or other drinks?  Unless it is one of those fancy bottles of water, then I guess it isn’t so cheap.

There you go.  Clean air is free and clean water is either cheap or free.  You can do this!

Make an effort EVERY DAY to take in a little bit more air and water.

I am sure you will start feeling better before you know it!
