happy new year

I hope you have been reflecting on this past year, as I have been.

This has definitely been a year of change in our family…births, deaths, new jobs and homes, new loves…..and even a wedding scheduled for New Years Eve!

I hope that as we move into 2014, you will celebrate all that was good from 2013 and learn from all that was bad.

I hope that this year, instead of aiming to lose weight, you aim to become stronger.

Instead of vowing to stop smoking, you vow to surround yourself with healthy people and let them help you to make better choices.

Instead of setting a goal to “find true love”, your target is to “figure out who you really are and deem yourself lovable”.

Instead of hoping others will change, you focus on what you love about them and see what you need to change in yourself.

You will never be this young again.

You will never get another day just like this one.

Go and seek out your joy.
